This morning the NWU’s Potchefstroom Campus hosted the Spring graduation ceremony and the School of Economics has a proud group of new graduates.
This group includes 11 BCom degrees to go with the 90 awarded at the Autumn ceremony. Five Master’s degrees were awarded:
- Chris Booysen in Economics (with distinction).
- Wayne Brewer in Risk Management.
- Elizna Cloete in International Trade.
- Danielle le Clus in International Trade.
- Dirk Visser in Risk Management.
And they join the six who received their degrees at the Autumn ceremony. The School had one PhD at the Autumn ceremony and added another today. Johann Jacobs work under supervision of Dr Gary van Vuuren and received the PhD in Risk Management with the thesis: Lessons learned from the deficiencies of the Basel Accords as they apply to Solvency II.
Congratulations to the students and staff with such a successful year. We encourage the alumni to keep contact with the School and join our Puk-Ekonomie group on LinkedIn.
